Warehouse Manager

Oversee and manage warehouse operational activities and staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintain company goals for warehouse productivity, efficiency, and quality.

• Oversee and manage various warehouse activities to include daily operations, scheduling and coordination of staff productivity.

• Train employees to do their job; set standards for work performance

• Monitor performance and provide feedback to direct reports through formal quarterly and annual reviews; regularly communicate with staff to achieve mutual understanding and desired results

• Ensures the compliance of West Sacramento warehouse operations with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

• Ensures a high level of inventory record accuracy at all times.

• Assists in efforts to effectively outsource warehousing and specialty package needs outside of West Sacramento warehouse operations.

• Ensures the integrity of Bogle databases as they pertain to West Sacramento warehouse operations.

• Assists in the coordination of vintage crossovers for West Sacramento warehouse operations and customer service.

• Coordinates product shipments to tasting room.

Coordinates with Accounting and Compliance to ensure that the warehouse staff performs and records POS and case goods inventory counts and re-counts at West Sacramento in accordance with Bogle guidelines.

• Check orders for accuracy and availability of product.

• Print copy of shipping details and ensure items requested are pulled, packaged and delivered to shipper within the required timeframe.

• Check discrepancies and follow up with Order Entry and Sales as needed.

• Process returns for restock.

• Perform data entry for inventory to include changes to inventory locations and counts.

• Improve operation quality and efficiency of the warehouse functions.

• Coordinate with warehouse staff and vendors, as necessary.

• Conduct interviews, hire staff, ensure proper orientation of company policies and procedures and provide ongoing goal setting and performance reviews for regular employee staff members.

• Ensure adequate staff coverage at all times

• Operate forklift as needed.

• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Degree preferred, college level coursework required

• 7-10 years management experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in the wine industry.

• Requires in-depth experience in glass bottling, warehousing and packaging.

• Requires demonstrated effective leadership in a team environment, a high level of self-initiative, effective communication skills, attention to detail and a thorough understanding of process management and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements:
• Work is usually performed in an office or warehouse environment.

• May require prolonged periods of sitting and occasional lifting of 50 pounds or less.

• May require extended work hours to accomplish production goals.

Safety Specialist

Fosters a “safety culture” by engaging personnel at all levels and drives the success of safety initiatives and programs.

• Assists with the implementation of safety and health programs by presenting training and completing audits

• Participates in the implementation of environmental policies and procedures by conducting training and completing inspections

• Develops, implements, and coordinates safety and health policies and procedures to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and the financial losses associated

• Reviews and evaluates various job activities and new processes for safety, health, and environmental issues and makes recommendations to control or eliminate hazards

• Assesses facility compliance with Bogle Vineyards Safety Manual requirements

• Responds to and investigates reports of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions; reviews recommendations and/or takes appropriate action in order to mitigate potential safety, health, and environmental risk

• Facilitates safety committees meetings, conducts root cause analysis, incident investigations and works with the local management team regarding Health & Safety

• Facilitates site wide “all hands safety meetings”

• Assists in the development and updating of matrices to track and trend safety and environmental program performance

• Supports contractor safety, health, and environmental compliance

• Serves as a company resource for safety, health, and environmental; interacts with regulatory agencies, customers, and others as necessary

• Develops and delivers presentations on environmental, health, and safety topic including supporting monthly department safety meetings

• Conducts accident investigations and safety inspections in support of the company safety program

• Assists in management of company’s worker injury management program including arranging for medical treatment, documenting records, following up on cases, and paying bills

• Assists Human Resources with worker’s compensation claims and the Modified Duty program.

• Assists in the management of the company OSHA 300 log including completion of the annual summary for posting.

• Conducts required OSHA employee training as required

• Contributes to the development or revision of OSHA and CAL/OSHA compliance

• Responsible for maintaining the companies safety and training records

• Responsible for ensuring all departments complete monthly safety meetings, trainings and inspections.

• Assist in updating and maintaining company’s IIPP

• Conducts required OSHA employee training as required

• Performs other duties as assigned


• Experience: Three to five years in a safety role.

• Language skills: Must be fully bilingual. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English and Spanish is required.

• High School graduate or GED

• Extensive experience with worker’s compensation, OSHA and training.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Excel.

• Proven ability to influence others in a positive manner.

• Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and shifting prioritization

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs

• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate catwalks

• Ability to walk up to 2 to 3 miles a day

• Ability to stand on your feet for up to 6 hrs a day.

Bottling Line Technician

Under limited supervision responsible for operating bottling line equipment and following Bottling Department procedures.

• Perform all duties as defined under General Bottling Tech at a proficient level.

• Operate Bottling Lines #1 and #2 equipment. This would include fillers, corkers, conveyors, air machine, spinners, labelers, case sealers and case dumping equipment.

• Input information into Weber case printers and adjust print quality.

• Change labels and print ribbons on Weber case label printer. Adjust height

• Set up Line for production at the start of the shift.

• Operate Lines to maintain production standards set by Bottling Manager.

• Must be able to read, understand and work from production orders.

• Responsible for using the correct packaging supplies and wine type as designated by the production orders.

• Accountable to adhere to all quality control specifications.

• Promote teamwork within assigned teams.

• Assists in training less experienced employees as requested by team lead/supervisor.

• Drive lift trucks; and forklift as needed.

• Assist Maintenance Mechanic with line set up.

• Perform any other general tasks, commensurate with skill level as assigned by lead/supervisor.

• May be reassigned to alternate departments based on business needs; Cellar, Warehouse, Maintenance, etc.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 1-2 years of bottling line experience.
Knowledge: Must be able to operate all bottling line equipment and lift trucks; must possess mechanical aptitude and good written & oral communication skills.
Other: Must be able to work any shift.

Travel requirements: Limited to local; valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company’s insurance provider.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, reach, grasp, push and pull, for up to 10 hours/day. Must be able to carry, walk, bend, squat, and climb occasionally. Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
