Marketing Assistant

Primary responsibility is to assist the VP Sales & Marketing while providing support to the marketing, sales, and creative teams. In this role you will work on a variety of initiatives that are important for the winery’s sales & marketing efforts.

POS / Media Support - 25%
All aspects of POS Management: Manage ordering system, internal & external points of contact work with Design/Creative in production of POS, website posting of POS, and manage inventories ensuring they are at acceptable levels. Work with winery owner & sales department to produce tasting notes, pre-sell sheets, incentive sell sheets, and all sales & marketing promotional sheets necessary for sales & marketing activities. Work with Creative / Sales in making sure inventories for all large format bottles and Bogle promotional wearable’s are at acceptable levels for upcoming promotions. Ensure these promotional items are sent as directed by the Sales & Marketing departments.

Marketing Support - 25%
Support the Sales, Marketing and Design departments. This will be a wide range of activities that include but are not limited to the following: Supporting winery distributor visits & events, sending materials out to distributors and trade, assists with special events involving distributor sales team & management visiting the winery. Work with winery owner/sales to produce materials for events, and assists marketing department with execution of their promotions and events. Creative Design &

QC Support Programs - 25%
Work with Creative in designing and implementing a QC program for labels/POS/Capsules/marketing materials program that employees can reference so that they can make quick decisions if the materials that are delivered or are bottled meet the standards of our marketing teams. Work with Creative in managing our electronic files including the creation of an electronic file system that stores files so they are easily located.

Social Media Support – 15%

Work with winery owner, tasting room manager and sales departments in developing regular social media posts to enhance the visibility and personality of our brand. Assist ownership with social media plan and engage with customers across multiple social media platforms. Regularly review website content for sales department and create/update sales information on website to make sure content is accurate and updated. Work with ownership to make sure website content is fresh and engaging and reflects the unique nature of the Bogle brand. Sales Support & Tastings – 10% Support sales teams with local tastings and events to enhance the visibility and exposure of our brand. Will occasionally be called on to support the sales team with a market blitz or support the sales team’s activities.

• BS/BA in Marketing or business related subjects preferred.

• 2- 4 years of experience in the wine industry.

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms/trends.

• Solid computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and email programs. Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator knowledge and ability to assist with promo sheet design a plus.

• Computer savvy needed to quickly learn new programs.

• Strong work ethic and willingness / desire to support a team and coordinate activities a must.

• Ability to multi task with attention to quality.

• Trustworthy and enthusiasm to support Bogle and our activities is essential.

• Must have a California driver’s license and be insurable by the company insurance provider.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, work on a computer, and use office equipment for up to 8 hours/day. Must be able to stand, bend, and walk frequently. Ability to lift at least 40 lbs. of dead weight, such as wine cases and other materials.

Safety Specialist

Fosters a “safety culture” by engaging personnel at all levels and drives the success of safety initiatives and programs.

• Assists with the implementation of safety and health programs by presenting training and completing audits

• Participates in the implementation of environmental policies and procedures by conducting training and completing inspections

• Develops, implements, and coordinates safety and health policies and procedures to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and the financial losses associated

• Reviews and evaluates various job activities and new processes for safety, health, and environmental issues and makes recommendations to control or eliminate hazards

• Assesses facility compliance with Bogle Vineyards Safety Manual requirements

• Responds to and investigates reports of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions; reviews recommendations and/or takes appropriate action in order to mitigate potential safety, health, and environmental risk

• Facilitates safety committees meetings, conducts root cause analysis, incident investigations and works with the local management team regarding Health & Safety

• Facilitates site wide “all hands safety meetings”

• Assists in the development and updating of matrices to track and trend safety and environmental program performance

• Supports contractor safety, health, and environmental compliance

• Serves as a company resource for safety, health, and environmental; interacts with regulatory agencies, customers, and others as necessary

• Develops and delivers presentations on environmental, health, and safety topic including supporting monthly department safety meetings

• Conducts accident investigations and safety inspections in support of the company safety program

• Assists in management of company’s worker injury management program including arranging for medical treatment, documenting records, following up on cases, and paying bills

• Assists Human Resources with worker’s compensation claims and the Modified Duty program.

• Assists in the management of the company OSHA 300 log including completion of the annual summary for posting.

• Conducts required OSHA employee training as required

• Contributes to the development or revision of OSHA and CAL/OSHA compliance

• Responsible for maintaining the companies safety and training records

• Responsible for ensuring all departments complete monthly safety meetings, trainings and inspections.

• Assist in updating and maintaining company’s IIPP

• Conducts required OSHA employee training as required

• Performs other duties as assigned


• Experience: Three to five years in a safety role.

• Language skills: Must be fully bilingual. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English and Spanish is required.

• High School graduate or GED

• Extensive experience with worker’s compensation, OSHA and training.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Excel.

• Proven ability to influence others in a positive manner.

• Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and shifting prioritization

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs

• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate catwalks

• Ability to walk up to 2 to 3 miles a day

• Ability to stand on your feet for up to 6 hrs a day.

Skilled Bottling Maintenance Technician

Perform maintenance work at journey level with minimum supervision and/or accountable for leadership in bottling machine operation.

• Monitors & follows up on job assignments.

• Provides assistance to bottling line personnel in performing work assignments.

• Ensures work procedures are conducted in safe manner according to safety program.

• Assists in on the job training.

• Advises manager of equipment malfunctions.

• Provides feedback to manager on individual and work group job performance concerning equipment.

• Provides feedback to manager on assigned job tasks.

• Knows and follows company policies and advise manager of policy infractions.

• May provide job instruction to shift personnel.


Duties/Essential Job Functions
• Handle maintenance projects in bottling / warehouse including;budgeting, filling out appropriate paperwork for project materials, and implementing project.

• Record keeping/update on machinery, maintenance, downtime, activity log, preventative maintenance schedules, in progress machine operating procedures.

• Coordinate work orders.

• Advise attainable deadlines and accomplish work within agreed time period.

• Repair equipment respective to specialty area.

• Able to perform all functions in specialized area.

• Research & recommend products and procedures.

• Record keeping, logging, inventory parts and supplies.

• Keep maintenance records.

• Working knowledge of all bottling equipment.

• Submit requisitions for parts & materials.

• Fill in on bottling line as needed.

• High school education or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with high volume packaging lines - with knowledge of bottling line equipment preferred.

• Wine industry experience a plus. Must be able to work any shift.

Bottling Line Technician

Under limited supervision responsible for operating bottling line equipment and following Bottling Department procedures.

• Perform all duties as defined under General Bottling Tech at a proficient level.

• Operate Bottling Lines #1 and #2 equipment. This would include fillers, corkers, conveyors, air machine, spinners, labelers, case sealers and case dumping equipment.

• Input information into Weber case printers and adjust print quality.

• Change labels and print ribbons on Weber case label printer. Adjust height

• Set up Line for production at the start of the shift.

• Operate Lines to maintain production standards set by Bottling Manager.

• Must be able to read, understand and work from production orders.

• Responsible for using the correct packaging supplies and wine type as designated by the production orders.

• Accountable to adhere to all quality control specifications.

• Promote teamwork within assigned teams.

• Assists in training less experienced employees as requested by team lead/supervisor.

• Drive lift trucks; and forklift as needed.

• Assist Maintenance Mechanic with line set up.

• Perform any other general tasks, commensurate with skill level as assigned by lead/supervisor.

• May be reassigned to alternate departments based on business needs; Cellar, Warehouse, Maintenance, etc.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 1-2 years of bottling line experience.
Knowledge: Must be able to operate all bottling line equipment and lift trucks; must possess mechanical aptitude and good written & oral communication skills.
Other: Must be able to work any shift.

Travel requirements: Limited to local; valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company’s insurance provider.

Bottling Line Lead

Under the direction of the Bottling Manager the Bottling Line Lead is responsible for the direction, output, and overall performance of the bottling line and team while promoting a team oriented environment.

• Set up daily bottling employee work rotation.
• Mentor and Lead. Leads by example (strong work ethic).
• Directly responsible for assigning daily tasks and monitoring the output of the team.

• Assigns employee breaks and lunches and covers accordingly.

• Identify employee training needs, schedule and document training and follow through to accomplish the desired results.

• Ensure employees have a safe working environment and use proper protective equipment.

• Communicates closely with Bottling Manager on performance issues, procedures, and policies to insure overall consistency. • Provide recommendations for disciplinary action.

• Provide immediate performance feedback to employees on a daily basis.

• Make recommendations for facility, equipment, and process improvements.

• May be asked to participate in or lead the monthly safety meetings.


• Perform all duties on the bottling line and operates all bottling equipment.

• Operate Lines to meet production and QC standards set by bottling manager.

• Prepare daily instructions for equipment sterilization and wine delivery per bottling schedule.

• Responsible for following procedures to sterilize the bottling lines and equipment.

• Operate hot water boiler for sterilization.

• Responsible for following procedures for operating the filtration system in the bottling department including filter integrity tests.

• Responsible for following procedures to deliver sterile wine from the bottling tanks to the bottling fillers.

• Operate pumps and move hoses as required to deliver wine to the bottling room from the bottling tanks.

• Gauge bottling tanks when required.

• Effectively communicate with other Bogle departments such as quality control and maintenance.

• Responsible for maintaining filter inventory and various bottling pumps, hoses, clamps, and gaskets.

• Place orders with Bottling Manager for filters and supplies.

• Interacting on the floor with team members.

• Hands on support.

• Follow-up on jobs to insure accuracy and completeness.

• Work closely with bottling manager to insure maximum utilization of resources and clear concise communication.

• Troubleshoot and problem solve.

• Keep current daily production logs.

• Insure that all technicians have the proper tools and operational equipment to successfully carry out their assignments.

• Responsible for reporting to bottling manager any faulty equipment.

• Other duties as assigned  

High School Diploma or equivalent

2-4 years bottling line experience with progressive responsibility

Experience in a food /beverage production facility preferred.

Must be able to operate all bottling line equipment and lift trucks

Must possess demonstrated leadership skills. Must exhibit a strong work ethic

Mechanical aptitude is required.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Must be quality focused, punctual and reliable

Must be team oriented and willing to assist others

Must be able to work both a typical day and swing shift hours

The bottling department is a noisy environment when the bottling line is running. PPE is required. Must be able to stand, reach, grasp, push, and pull for extended periods of time. Limited bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching are required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
