Quality Assurance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for implementing the company’s quality assurance programs while maintaining the integrity of the product. Develops and oversees the testing to control quality of all incoming, in process, out-going and new products in the company’s bottling areas. Provides technical services and advice to other departments when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains quality assurance programs for all Bogle products
  • Creates and ensures the accurate implementation of all quality SOP’s.
  • Establishes and maintains procedures and guidelines for ISO certification.
  • Develops audit plans and performs quality assurance reviews.
  • Identifies, quantifies and examines trends pertaining to performance and compliance.
  • Acts as liaison and resource with managers, line supervisors and line staff to identify training needs and improve the quality of work performed.
  • Bring to the attention of the bottling manager and line supervisor any quality or safety related items.
  • May train staff and monitors the adherence of the quality control SOP’s.
  • Inspect and insure that all incoming packaging materials are within pre-determined quality standards.
  • Interacts with packaging vendors in the event of packaging issues.
  • Oversees quality audits on the bottling line.
  • Inspect for proper function of all production line & bottling techniques
  • Perform incoming inspection on packaging materials to ensure supplies meet specifications
  • Monitor O2, alcohol at filler bowl and filterability pre-bottling
  • Check vacuum in the bottle, fill levels/ closure placement, label placement.
  • Completes necessary documentation for daily QC
  • Compiles inspection records and generates NCP reports
  • Maintain daily records of calibrations and standardizations
  • Other duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS Degree with 5 plus years large winery experience
  • Wine and packaging analysis expert
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Successful implementation of an ISO certified process.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must have a California driver’s license and be insurable by company’s insurance provider.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • This position requires sitting or standing for long periods of time working on computers; bending, twisting, lifting, kneeling and walking occasionally.

IT Systems Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY:
Administer the acquisition, installation, maintenance, repair and use of computers, telecommunication, and information systems for the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install network software and equipment; change the components of existing equipment.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable IT solutions for Bogle IT infrastructure
  • Project Management as needed for software implementation or integration.
  • Provides desktop support for all users, assisting users with inquiries and provide solutions.
  • Perform network administration and configuration duties for LAN, file servers, backup, and wireless network.
    Monitor operation of the network and ensure hardware and software are functioning properly and that operation standards are met.
  • Responsible for planning, testing, tuning, configuration, and setup of Microsoft Exchange architecture as well as supporting common email applications.
  • Provides support for various Software Applications
  • Coordinate and interface with outside IT support or vendors when required.
  • Document and maintain procedures for networks, system operations, database management, product assembly/installation and electronic security.
  • Provide training for all personnel in applications of computer systems, telecommunications systems, and peripheral systems.
  • Act as liaison for coordination of repair, maintenance, upgrades, etc., as they relate to current and/or future purchased information systems equipment.
  • Provide and maintain computer, phone and cellular phone hardware for company employees.
  • Provide and maintain network copiers, faxes and printers.
  • Expansion of duties based on knowledge and experience.
  • Other duties as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS, BA in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS or relevant technology degree. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 3–6 years’ experience in an IT systems administration role
  • Experience in the following Microsoft applications: Office,
  • Access, and Windows Server is required. Basic networking experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Navision,
  • SQL databases and wine industry specific software a plus.
  • Excellent customer service attitude, customer focus with the ability to remain calm in stressful deadline driven environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends to minimize inconvenience to IT users.
  • Travel required within 15 mile radius to other locations when necessary.
  • Must have a California driver’s license and be insurable by company’s insurance provider.
  • Ability to identify and fulfill the needs of all users.

Skilled Bottling Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform maintenance work at journey level with minimum supervision and/or accountable for leadership in bottling machine operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitors & follows up on job assignments.

• Provides assistance to bottling line personnel in performing work assignments.

• Ensures work procedures are conducted in safe manner according to safety program.

• Assists in on the job training. Advises manager of equipment malfunctions.

• Provides feedback to manager on individual and work group job performance concerning equipment.

• Provides feedback to manager on assigned job tasks.

• Knows and follows company policies and advise manager of policy infractions.

• May provide job instruction to shift personnel.

Duties/Essential Job Functions
• Handle maintenance projects in bottling / warehouse including;budgeting, filling out appropriate paperwork for project materials, and implementing project.

• Record keeping/update on machinery, maintenance, downtime, activity log, preventative maintenance schedules, in progress machine operating procedures.

• Coordinate work orders.

• Advise attainable deadlines and accomplish work within agreed time period.

• Repair equipment respective to specialty area.

• Able to perform all functions in specialized area. Research & recommend products and procedures.

• Record keeping, logging, inventory parts and supplies. Keep maintenance records. Working knowledge of all bottling equipment.

• Submit requisitions for parts & materials. Fill in on bottling line as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school education or equivalent Minimum 3 years’ experience with high volume packaging lines - with knowledge of bottling line equipment preferred.

• Wine industry experience a plus.

• Must be able to work any shift.


Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand, reach, grasp, push and pull, for up to 10 hours/day.

• Must be able to carry, walk, bend, squat, and climb occasionally.

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.

Bottling Line Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
Under limited supervision responsible for operating bottling line equipment and following Bottling Department procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform all duties as defined under General Bottling Tech at a proficient level.

• Operate Bottling Lines #1 and #2 equipment. This would include fillers, corkers, conveyors, air machine, spinners, labelers, case sealers and case dumping equipment.

• Input information into Weber case printers and adjust print quality.

• Change labels and print ribbons on Weber case label printer. Adjust height

• Set up Line for production at the start of the shift.

• Operate Lines to maintain production standards set by Bottling Manager.

• Must be able to read, understand and work from production orders.

• Responsible for using the correct packaging supplies and wine type as designated by the production orders.

• Accountable to adhere to all quality control specifications.

• Promote teamwork within assigned teams.

• Assists in training less experienced employees as requested by team lead/supervisor.

• Drive lift trucks; and forklift as needed.

• Assist Maintenance Mechanic with line set up.

• Perform any other general tasks, commensurate with skill level as assigned by lead/supervisor.

• May be reassigned to alternate departments based on business needs; Cellar, Warehouse, Maintenance, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 1-2 years of bottling line experience.
Knowledge: Must be able to operate all bottling line equipment and lift trucks; must possess mechanical aptitude and good written & oral communication skills.
Other: Must be able to work any shift.

Travel requirements: Limited to local; valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company’s insurance provider.
