Director of Winemaking

Christopher Smith, graduated from California State University, Fresno with a degree in Enology. Chris spent four years on the winemaking staff at Jordan where he focused on traditional production techniques for both Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Taking a position at Kendall-Jackson as the assistant winemaker, he was able to fine tune methods for producing wines from vineyards throughout California, which proved an invaluable experience. With this experience blending grapes from only the best locations, he has been producing outstanding wines at Bogle since his start in 1992. His goal is to produce the best wine value in California.


Winemaker

Eric Aafedt grew up in the Livermore Valley and was introduced to the wine industry at a young age. His first jobs as a teenager included general winery and vineyard work. At California Polytechnic Institute, San Luis Obispo Eric earned a degree in chemistry, while at the same time, he worked his way through college at Concannon Winery. Eventually Eric became assistant winemaker there and led direction of several new programs at the winery. Eric joined the Bogle staff in 1994, redefining the Chardonnay program and earning the position of winemaker in 2000.
