Hey there, Bogle friends!
These days, everyone at the winery is running! From the vineyard crew trying to keep up with the daily growth in the fields, to the winemakers putting finishing touches on the spring releases, there’s never a dull moment around the winery. And now that the weather has taken its turn here in Clarksburg, there’s never been a better time to come visit the tasting room. We hope you’ll come see us and enjoy a lovely afternoon here soon.

STRIKING CALIFORNIA GOLD
Our Wines Show Well at the California State Fair Competition
We are so proud to share that seven of our wines took home awards from the California State Fair Wine Competition, one of the largest and most well-respected wine competitions in the country.
Our 2014 Essential Red blend received “Best of California State Red”, Double Gold and 98 points.
Essential Red, a richly textured blend of Old Vine Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, ages in American oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.
“We take great pride in producing high-quality wines that every family can enjoy,” said Eric Aafedt, Director of Winemaking. “The 2014 Essential Red is an approachable blend that is perfect for gatherings with friends and pairs nicely with blue cheese, hamburgers or dark chocolate.”
Essential Red is available year-round in wine shops and grocery stores nationwide.
In addition, we were selected for two Best of Class/Region awards, the 2014 Merlot which received Gold, and the Petite Sirah Port which earned Silver. Four more wines also received accolades, a Gold medal for the 2015 Chardonnay, Silver for the 2014 Old Vine Zinfandel, Silver for the 2014 Pinot Noir and Bronze for the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc.
According to State Fair organizers, 2,663 wines from 711 California wineries entered the 2017 competition.
Kudos to the Bogle winemaking team! Another year well done!
